Abstract
This presentation on Agile Game Development introduces students to the principles and practices of agile methodologies in game development. It emphasizes the iterative nature of agile development, contrasting it with the traditional waterfall method, and highlights the importance of flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Students will learn about the Scrum framework, including roles, events, and artifacts, and how these elements help manage complex game development projects. The presentation also covers the different phases of game development, from preproduction to post-release, and the use of practical tools like burndown charts and user stories to track progress and ensure project success. By attending this session, students will gain a foundation in agile practices, enabling them to apply these methods to their own game development projects.
